Why choose us

From 15-week-old puppies to older dogs that need to be rehabilitated

Wyoming K-9 came into existence over 15 years ago. It started small with Paula Cooke, the owner and master trainer with her kennels, and the desire to keep dogs out of shelters. Since then, it has grown into an 8-kennel training facility that not only houses Wyoming k-9 dogs for training but is also where she founded and operates PTSD Dogs and Tag of Wyoming, which serve military and non-military individuals with getting training and services.
Paula is a certified master trainer. She spent months in Texas, where she was tough on scent work and obedience training. She has spent years training with other trainers and attending conferences and training seminars all over the U.S. because she feels “you can never have enough education and guidance in this profession and know one knows everything.”

How do we do that?

We use methods focused on the "Pack Leader" approach

Wyoming K-9 is a family-owned and operated business. Our facility holds up to 8 dogs with indoor/outdoor kennels, heat/AC, and fenced 4 acres with doggie pool season permitting.

At Wyoming K-9, we are considered rounded trainers. We use the tools that will make your dog learn and flourish. It is essential to be the pack leader. If you don’t have confidence, your dog will feel like it needs to step and take charge, and we don’t want that.

Our programs give owners the confidence to help even the most difficult dogs. It’s training you can feel good about. It takes approximately 21 days to teach a dog a new skill and then build on duration and distraction. Rather than fear and control-based training, we use positive reinforcement. We want your dog to be confident, stable, and well-rounded. We strive to keep dogs out of shelters or passed from home to home.
